Overall poor experience, they get in the door by offering low cost duct cleaning.Only to charge more than the advertised price. Cleaning was poorly done , left dust in a few ducts. I would not recommend.
Not happy when it came to pay bill, had no idea it would cost as much as it did. Tech Scott tried to charge me an additional $99 for cleaning AC compressor, which I just had done the previous week. It took Service Experts HVAC over 45 minutes to clean, using my neighbors hose. Tech Scott was at my home f oh r a total of 50 minutes+charged me over $700.00. Called office+they were even worse, would not suggest New England Clean Air to anybody. Business practices are really non existent. Very dissatisfied with service.
The technician, Scott, was excellent. He was very thorough & pleasant. However the sales technique was very deceiving. We received a coupon for $7 per vent & returns cleaning plus Free Main Trunk Line cleaning up to $129 value and FREE dryer vent cleaning. So, of course we were expecting around a $200 bill. It came to $716.20. Way more that we were expecting. We were given no prices when making the appointment. If we had known it would have been so expensive we would never have had them come out. Yes, we could have declined once we were given the total price but we just bought this house last year and believed it had never been done since new in 2008. So we assumed it really needed to be done. In hindsight we should have refused and gotten another quote.
They did a great job. Came earlier than expected with a phone call prior. The technician, Scott, was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Good experience.
$1,400 for what amounted to 3-4 hours of work from a guy with a large vacuum seems almost like a scam. I'd suggest doing proper research reg. pricing and what EXACTLY is included in the promotional offer and what else would need to be done to "clean the vents and ducts." I think $750 would have been more reasonable, so I didn't feel good about this experience.
